Using Live Translation
Last updated 15 Sep 2026Overview
Live Translation turns spoken words from one language into another in near real time. Choose two languages, start talking, and ToRun captures your voice and streams the translation back as you speak — then a single tap swaps the direction so the other person can reply.
Engines
Two real-time engines are available; pick the one that fits your conversation. Each shows its per-minute price up front, so you can choose on cost as well as quality. One option speaks around 77 languages, Turkish and Russian among them.
How to use it
- Open Live Translation from the menu.
- Pick the two languages and the engine.
- Press to start and speak naturally — the translation is spoken (and shown) back almost immediately.
- Tap the swap control to flip the direction for the reply.
Cost and metering
Live translation is billed per minute of connected time at the rate shown for the engine you pick, and each session writes billing records with a full pricing snapshot. Bring-your-own-key (BYOK) routing covers live translation too — the AI usage goes through your own provider key and ToRun charges only the small per-minute platform fee.
Tips
- Use a headset in noisy places for cleaner capture.
- Keep sentences short and pause between turns so the engine can segment speech.
- Watch the timer — you are billed for connected minutes, so end the session when you are done.
