Voice was the part of ToRun with the widest gap between what it could do and how it felt to use. This release closes most of it.

The screen keeps up with the conversation

While you are talking, the home screen stops being a home screen. The greeting and the shortcuts step aside, and what you said and what the assistant answered stream in as they happen. Places, links and files it found arrive as cards you can tap, in the position of the moment they were found — not piled at the bottom.

The whole orb is the talk button now, with the microphone at its centre. People were aiming at a small badge and missing it.

Silence has an explanation

A search or a map lookup can take many seconds. That silence used to be indistinguishable from a dropped call. The assistant now tells you it has started, and tells you again if the task is still running.

Your words, in your language

Speech was being transcribed against the language of the interface rather than the one being spoken. If you used the app in English and spoke Turkish, you watched your own sentences arrive translated, while the assistant answered you in Turkish — one conversation, two languages. Transcription now follows the speaker.

The microphone itself

On Android, calls were capturing audio through a path meant for dictation: no echo cancellation, no automatic level control. On speaker, the assistant's own voice fed back into the microphone and quiet speech stayed quiet. Calls now use the path built for hands-free conversation — the same behaviour the app has always had on iPhone.

And afterwards

A saved call now says what it was: each line carries a microphone mark, the time it was said and the model that spoke it, with the session's length shown once at the end. It reads in the order it happened, which sounds obvious and was not true before.
