Making something in the studios used to start with choices: which studio, which engine, which settings. The image, video and music studios on the web now open with a box called Ask ToRun. Write what you want to make in your own words, add photos if you like, and press Plan it. You get a plan before anything is spent.
What the plan shows
- What will be made. In plain words, such as "A video from your photos" or "Your photo, speaking your words", with details such as the format and length underneath.
- Which photos it uses. Every photo you added is on the card. The ones this job leaves out are dimmed with the reason, and a tap puts a photo in or takes it out.
- How long it usually takes. Shown when similar jobs have been measured, never guessed.
- What it costs. The approximate cost in Runs, and where it comes from: your energy first, then your wallet. If your balance is short, the plan says by how much, and it offers a cheaper plan when one fits your balance.
Honest when it cannot be done exactly
Some requests no engine can do as asked: one face ageing into another, a long film, a real person's own voice, a public figure's face, a 3D model. The plan says so in one line and offers the closest result instead, such as your photos in order as a video, or one of our ready-made voices.
Nothing is spent until you press Generate
Planning is free. Generate starts the job. If the price has gone up noticeably since you saw the plan, you see the new plan instead, and nothing starts until you press Generate again. A job card then shows the progress, and you can leave the page: the result will be in your library. If a job does not work, the card says why and shows what went back to your balance.
Other requests go to the right place
Asking for a voice-over, a translation, research or a plain answer opens the voice studio, the translator or the chat with your text already filled in. Nothing is sent until you send it.
You can still choose everything
The plan picks a suitable engine for the job, and Advanced shows which one. The studio's own controls are still there below the box when you want to choose the engine and the settings yourself.
