Games you build in a ToRun chat can now be played together. Ask for a game for two or more players, press Invite a friend and send the link. Your friends join in their browser, and they do not need an account to play.
Build the game in chat
Describe the game you want, such as a two-player pong, a quiz for four or a small strategy game, and say that it should be played together. The assistant builds it on a canvas, the panel next to the chat where you can play it at once. When the game starts, it opens a room, and a bar next to the game shows who is playing.
Big games take time to build. A long build now continues in parts on its own instead of stopping with a time-limit error, and the work saved so far is always kept.
Invite your friends
- One link. Invite a friend copies a link to your room. Anyone with the link can join while the room is open.
- No account needed. A friend without an account picks a name and plays as a guest. After the game, a guest can sign up free to save games and build their own.
- Up to eight players. The bar shows how many players are in the room and who the host is.
- Private games too. If the game is still private, inviting shares it first, so the link opens for the people you send it to.
You stay in control
- The host decides. The host can remove a player, and that player cannot come back to the room.
- Nothing is kept. What the players send each other is passed along and never stored, and a room closes by itself when nobody plays for a while.
- A new host takes over. If the host leaves, the room hands the host role to another player.
- Report a room. Anyone in a room can report it from the bar or the game page.
