Mobile chat no longer goes blank while answering

On the phone, a strip of related pictures could stretch to the height of the screen and push the reply out of sight, so the chat looked empty or stuck on answering. The strip now keeps its size, long replies stream more smoothly, and the Stop button and the status line always agree. Dates, times and numbers follow the language chosen in the app rather than the phone's, and a downloaded app update now takes effect the next time you open the app.
