Two weeks into October, the changes fall into three groups: the assistant does more of the work you ask for, your own photos stay your own, and the venue assistant moved from walls onto websites, starting with ours. The highlights:

The assistant does the work

  • Long tasks finish. A reply is no longer cut off at five minutes; it ends when it stops making progress, with room for twenty minutes when it is writing a canvas or a document.
  • Fewer questions, more answers. After two replies in a row that only asked something, the next one does the work with sensible defaults.
  • Edit a PDF in place. Change a price, a name or a line in the PDF you shared, and the layout stays.
  • Designed documents. Brochures, reports and presentations come out as designed PDF, Word or PowerPoint files with your own pictures in them, and a canvas runs live on the web and the phone.
  • Search what was said. Chat search looks inside messages, and the assistant can find an earlier conversation for you.

Your photos, kept as they are

  • A collage is composed from your actual photos, never redrawn.
  • Ask in a chat or on a call for a video made from your photos; it arrives in the same chat when it is ready.
  • Translate the speech in a video into subtitles, on the web and the phone.

Voice

  • Voice calls and live translation moved to Gemini 3.8 Live ahead of the old engine's retirement.
  • A mute switch for the microphone during a call, and failures explained in one sentence in your language.

Venues and websites

  • The venue assistant can now sit on a customer's own website, following the site's light or dark theme.
  • torun.ai has one too: ask about ToRun in the corner of any page.
  • Head offices and branches, names in the visitor's language, each answer shown to staff with its sources, question groups across languages, a weekly report, and a safe mode that stops the assistant with one press.
  • Personal details a visitor types are masked before anything is stored.

Fixes that mattered

  • Replies from our support team now reach you; before, they were stored where you could not see them.
  • One reply at a time per chat, so sending twice no longer ends in an error.
  • Models that providers are switching off hand over to their successors ahead of time, and the video studio has a new default with sound.
  • Mobile chat no longer goes blank while answering, and a video that fails to arrive is refunded in every case.

The changelog carries every change with its date. This post is the short version.
