Generating images, video, and music on ToRun

ToRun treats image, video, and audio generation as first-class modes — they run through the same capability-routing and billing system as text chat. Here is how to get started.

Pick the right mode

From the home screen or sidebar, choose the mode that matches what you want to create:

• Image — for still images (posters, illustrations, product shots, concept art)
• Video — for short-form video clips generated from a prompt or reference image
• Music / Audio — for background tracks, sound effects, or spoken-word audio

Each mode tells the routing engine which capabilities are required. ToRun then selects from the providers that actually support those capabilities, ranks them by price and quality, and routes your request automatically.

Write a useful prompt

1. Be specific about content. "A minimalist poster for a jazz concert, muted blues and greys, wide-format" outperforms "make a jazz poster".
2. Specify dimensions or duration when it matters. For images, mention aspect ratio or use case. For video or music, give an approximate duration target.
3. State the style, not just the subject. Photorealistic, hand-drawn, cinematic, lo-fi — these steer the model toward the right output class.
4. Iterate. Generated outputs are stored in your session history. Refine the prompt and regenerate; each run is independent.

Understand the billing

Generative media is billed per unit of output — per image for image generation, per second of output for video and audio. The exact rate depends on which provider model is selected and your account's pricing tier; see /pricing for current figures. Every generation writes a single billing record with a frozen price snapshot so your ledger stays accurate even if provider rates change later.

Find your outputs

Completed generations appear inline in the chat thread and are also saved to your file library, accessible from the sidebar. From there you can download, share, or use an output as a reference input for a follow-up generation.
