Groq has switched off Kimi K2 Instruct, Llama 3.3 70B Versatile and Llama 3.1 8B Instant, and names a replacement for each. A chat set to one of them now runs on that replacement, GPT-OSS 120B or GPT-OSS 20B on Groq, instead of failing. Together has removed five models from its service without a replacement, and Groq has switched off Qwen3.6 27B. These models are no longer in the model list, and a chat still set to one of them is told that the model has been retired.
