Retiring models hand over before they switch off

Google and OpenAI are switching off several models in October. Requests for them now go to their named successors ahead of time: the Veo 3.1 previews to Gemini Omni Flash, Gemini 3.7 Flash to Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.1 Flash TTS to Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS. The image model a studio shows and prices is now the one that runs, and on the phone the model picker groups models by provider, newest first.
