A big canvas job, such as a game or a long document, no longer ends with a time-limit error. When a part runs long, the work saved so far is kept and the next part starts on its own, up to four more parts, each billed as a normal reply. The cost estimate for a canvas step is now a range, based on what similar steps actually cost.
